I’ve reviewed my fair share of five-star hotels and there’s nothing I love more than a bit of luxury. But, for a short stay in a hotel that you’re probably not going to spend a huge amount of time in, I’ve been a long-time fan of the Premier Inn and I’m not afraid to admit it. You always know what you’re getting, the hotels are usually located very centrally, staff are friendly and they represent very good value for money.

If you’re looking for a budget hotel in London or Edinburgh, look no further than Hub by Premier Inn. When I need somewhere cheap to stay in London after a long day of meetings and site visits this is my go-to hotel. Rooms are small but perfectly formed, quiet, clean and ultra modern. Touchscreen control panels change the lighting and temperature, rooms have smart TVs and it feels like you’re sleeping in a cocoon.

Hub by Premier Inn London Soho couldn’t be in a better location; right in the heart of Soho and walking distance to Covent Garden, Mayfair and St James’s. Hub by Premier Inn London Spitalfields, Brick Lane, is one of the best budget hotels in Shoreditch, right in the heart of East London. From here you can easily walk to Colombia Road Flower Market, Spitalfields Market and the late-night bars of Old Street. All hotels have a bar and restaurant where you can enjoy a breakfast, dinner and drinks.

Of course, if you’re planning to spend the whole time in your hotel room, you might find it a little bit basic. If that’s the case you’re probably better off choosing one of London’s more high end hotels. But with prices for a London hotel room starting at anywhere from £300 per night for a very average double room, you’ve got to ask yourself if it’s really worth it.

If you’re looking for a cheap London hotel, some of the best locations in London and a fuss free hotel stay, Hub by Premier Inn could be for you. Prices start at around £150 per double room per night. You can pay extra for a buffet breakfast on the day or get out there and go and discover the best breakfast spots in London. If you need help finding the best ones, I can help you with that. Get in touch to start planning your perfect London break.
